Recently I asked on my Facebook page, ‘what would you like to learn about that’s photography related?’ This week there were a couple of questions about cameras. There are so many options out there for cameras it’s pretty difficult to narrow down a decision! I understand the dilemma. I lamented for weeks whether I would start my professional career with Nikon or Canon. Each had their pros and cons….how to make a decision? In the end, it really depends upon personal choice, what you will be using your camera for and your familiarity with the camera’s function (more on that later…)
For those of you who are ‘point and shooters’ I highly recommend Nikon’s Coolpix. Great pricepoint, compact, and not too many bells and whistles that complicate a simple process. Rarely have I seen a ‘rotten’ Coolpix shot…no blur, nicely exposed. Their pricepoints start at under $100, and go up to $379 – depending on what functions you prefer.
